Casino History

The Maltese Casino du Venezia, in Vittoriosa (Birgu), is located in a beautiful building known as the Captain’s Palace. Built in 1870, the palace has a strong history. It was converted into an hospital during World War I, then into a shelter during World War II. The sumptuously renovated palace became a casino in 2001, operated jointly by Betlive, a Maltese company, and the Italian Municipality of Venezia.

Games

The casino offers many games on two levels: French roulette, Punto banco, Blackjack, Trente et quarante, Chemin de fer, and three different rooms with slot machines.
Casino di Venezia in Malta has also launched a World premiere, with an online gaming system featuring live dealers. These operations can be seen inside the casino, with real dealers managing empty poker, roulette and blackjack tables – all players playing from their home.

Food and Beverage

On the third floor of the palace, the Casino di Venezia Ristorante Panoramico offers true Italian cuisine. The restaurant includes a wonderful terrace offering breath taking views of the Grand Harbour and its marina.

Poker Room

The Casino di Venezia in Malta boasts the largest poker room of the island, with about 20 tables.

Tournaments. The room offers the widest variety of tournaments on the island, including one in not so common games, Omaha and Stud. Guests who are not familiar with these games can even receive free lessons before the start of the tournaments. Check our tournament calendar for schedules and details.
Some tournaments require early booking.

Cash Games. Daily cash games (exept Thursdays) are available with, most of the time 0.50/1€ tables. Higher limits can be set on request.

The rake is 3% with a cap of €10

Opening hours

Monday to Thursday from 14:00 to 02:00. Friday: 14:00 to 06:00. Saturday: 12:00 – 06:00. Sunday: 12:00 to 04:00.
The Casino di Venezia Ristorante Panoramico is open everyday except for Tuesdays, from 19:30 onwards.

Free parking area for visitors. Free shuttle bus service available.
