Casino History

The main distinction between Portomaso Casino on the other casinos in Malta comes from its modernity. Open mid-2006 under the Portomaso Tower – the highest building in Malta, that can be seen from miles away – the Portomaso Casino is the most recent in Malta and offers a distinct, modern and lounge atmosphere.
The casino, part of the Portomaso complex and Marina, can be accessed by boat. It is very close to the Hilton Hotel and just a few minutes minutes away from the entertainment area of Paceville.

Games

The Portomaso Casino includes a main room and a smoking area (the poker room is located in the smoking area).
The main room has 8 live tables including Blackjack, American Roulette, Punto Banco, Three card Poker, Progressive Stud poker and Ultimate Texas hold’em. Some of the games offered – Blackjack, Punto Banco and Roulette – can be accessed online.
In the smoking area you have the choise off two more American Roulette Tables and a nine seater Blackjack table (9 boxes).
There is a wide choice of slot machines all over the Casino, in the smoking and in the no smoking area.

Food and Beverage

The Casino Brasserie offers a variety of exquisite flavors from all over the Mediterranean. Special attention is given on fresh ingredients and fresh fish. The casino also includes a separate bar and white leather couches to relax.

Poker Room

Tournaments: the Portomaso Casino offers daily tournaments, except Fridays and Saturdays. For details check our tournament calendar. On special occasions, the entire restaurant is closed and converted into a large poker room with about 12 tables. Bigger events are played in the Hilton conference rooms, on top of the casino.

Cash games: available every night (starting around 19:00/20:00), mostly at the 1/2€ limit. On request, other limits or other games are possible. During special events, higher limits (2/4€, 5/10€ and sometimes higher) are available.
The rake is between 2.04% and 4% with a €100 cap.[Every €25 they take €1 (potsize: till €24 is No Rake / €25 till 49 is €1 / from €50 till €99 the rake is €2 etc.)]

Sunday to Thursday: 10:00 to 05:00. Friday and Saturday until 06:00
Live gaming tables open daily from 01:30.
