Another international poker event will take place next month in Malta, with several tournaments planned and a global prize pool of more than €150,000.
Organized by Italian online poker room Betpro.it, the Betpro Live Poker will take place at Portomaso Casino, from May 20 to May 23, 2010.
The poker festival will debut with a €100,000 guaranteed prize pool Main Event, played over four days. The tournament will offer a very deep structure: 30,000 chips as starting stacks and 45 minutes blinds levels, for a buy-in of €550.
A side event, at €330, will be played over two days, in a knock-out format.
Last, but not least, the Betpro Live Poker will include a Super Satellite for the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. The WSOP, considered as the yearly World Championship of Poker, will take place from May 27 to July 17, 2010 in Las Vegas. For the very first time, players in Malta will get a chance to claim their seat in the largest poker tournament of the year. The Satellite will be a rebuy €220 tournament, offering a chance to get a package that includes a ticket to the WSOP Main Event ($10,000), travel and hotel expenses, plus an extra bonus of €1,000.
